Joshua L. Weinstein Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in memory of Joshua L. Weinstein. Eligible students are pursuing a career in psychology, psychiatry or neuroscience, have earned a 3.0 GPA, and have demonstrated financial need. Joshua was devoted to understanding human behavior. As a graduate of Pittsfield High School, he went on to pursue his interest in human behavior and the brain, earning a degree in neuroscience from Brown University, working at the Dana Farber Cancer Center and attending Tufts medical school. Shortly before his death in 2018 he had been working as a therapist at a psychiatric hospital in Pittsburgh. He loved human interactions, and even spent some time tutoring here at BCC. It honors his life to know that this scholarship is supporting a student at BCC who is pursuing a career in a similar field of interest.
