Eric Engel Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Eric Engel Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Berkshire Community College is awarded to a non-traditional nursing student with financial need. Eric, a non-traditional student himself, was a registered EMT, studying in the nursing program at Berkshire Community College and worked in the school’s digital commons. Eric left this world after a long struggle with substance use disorder but not before achieving many of his personal and professional goals. This scholarship has been funded through the vision and generosity of Eric’s parents, John and Donna Engel, as well as the many family and friends who knew Eric and his love for the medical field.
