Lawrence A. Caesar Scholarship

The Lawrence A. Caesar Scholarship honors a promising student of African-American heritage who is committed to pursuing a degree or certificate at Berkshire Community College. Recipients of this award are residents of Berkshire County with financial need, demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to their goals. The scholarship was originally funded by Lawrence A. Caesar upon his death in 1978 and then endowed by dear friends in 2014. Mr. Caesar, a Dalton native, was one of Berkshire County’s leading civil-rights and social-action volunteers.
